HELPING OUR COMMUNITY ENJOY THE FESTIVE PERIOD

Since the pandemic we have offered SLINFOLD SANTA to provide free, doorstep, personalised visits from the main man before the big day and last year we ran, for the first time, a communal, traditional lunch on Christmas Day itself for those who would otherwise have been on their own.

We really want to continue and grow both of these much-valued services, but we need our community's help to do it.

Between 11 and 3 on Christmas Day we open the doors of the pavilion for a traditional lunch and time together as a community.

This obviously takes some time and effort, so if you can offer any of the following it would be greatly appreciated:

• Hosting / cooking onsite, for any length of time on the day; or
• Cooking a bit extra at the same time as preparing your own lunch at home; or
• Decorating the pavilion beforehand; or
• Donating food / funds.

Between 16:30 and 19:30 on each of 21st, 22nd & 23rd December, Santa visits the doorsteps of the children of our village to make sure that they've been good this year and that he should definitely be stopping by on Christmas night.

Last year 80 children were visited across 40 homes, and we are in need of at least one person to embody the role.

All the admin & planning would be done for you, it would just be a case of following the route (on foot or by car) and playing the part that has become a key feature for the children of our village.
