We are proud of our Club's position at the centre of the community and with the imminent opening of our brand new pavilion, we have a wonderful opportunity to expand even further the number of people we can positively influence.

Our Club, like so many others, depends on the commitment of our volunteers, and as with success on the pitch, it is achieved so much easier when we work together.

Volunteering is enormously rewarding. Our Club is growing seeing us provide cricket for over 50 senior members, over 100 juniors and now 15 women through our new Soft Ball Team. Not bad for a village club!

every skill has a value

You don't have to be a whizz with a ride-on mower; a Da Vicini with a paintbrush, a Nat Sciver with the bat, or a Jofra Archer with a ball. Like any home or business, there are a vast array of things that need doing throughout the year, so no matter what your skills are, we want to hear from you as its quite likely you can help by doing something you enjoy. Hopefully the banner above gives you some ideas of the sort of things that are invaluable to a growing club.

ONCE & WEEK OR ONCE A SEASON

Your most valuable asset is your time, especially in the modern world, and we're very conscious of that. That's why it really doesn't matter how often you may be available, any minute you can give is invaluable to the club, so please don't feel that because you can't devote hours every week, it means its not worth it.

It doesn't matter whether you have an existing link with the Club, one that stems from a few years ago, or you've never been here before.

Similarly, it doesn't matter what part of the Club you've been most associated with before, whether that be Seniors, Juniors or Social.

Plenty of the work needed to run the Club can be done from home. So even if you don't live around the corner from the ground, that doesn't mean you can't help out.

full trainiNg given

One of the concerns for many would-be volunteers is not knowing how to use any of the club tools or equipment. Full training on anything requiring it would be given to ensure you are fully comfortable, all you need to bring the enthusiasm to help a club that provides cricket and a Summer social hub for so many.

your employer may even support it!

Many employers now are more conscious and supporting of the value volunteering gives the wider community and in some instances even allow a degree of working time to do so. Therefore, you may even get paid to help out your club!
